I’ve often finished a productive writing day and gone to bed feeling proud of my work and excited about the piece I’m working on, only to wake up the next day filled with doubt about my ability and talent. This emotional rollercoaster is an all-too-familiar experience for many creatives.

Procrastination, the infamous demon of delay, has haunted many of us since our earliest memories of homework and chores. Yet, in the spirit of shaking hands with our enemies, it’s time we embrace procrastination and explore its hidden potential.

Homesickness is a feeling that sneaks up on us like a thief in the night, stealthily stealing our peace of mind and making us long for the familiar. At one point or another, most of us have experienced this emotional phenomenon, which can range from a gentle yearning to a full-on, heart-wrenching ache for home.

It took me almost three years to start making enough money to be able to focus solely on my writing work, and even then, it took me another two years before I started to make a very comfortable living. There are many things I wish I had known back then that I know now, which would have allowed me to save a lot of time and progress much faster. Fortunately, I had a lot of patience and passion and stuck with it.
