Writing a movie script can be daunting, especially if it’s your first screenplay. Where do you begin? How do you create the set pieces, design, and entangle the plots? How will you introduce and explore the characters?
We all have days when we can’t write. It can be a form of torture. Writer’s block can come out of nowhere. Sometimes it’s down to burnout or fatigue, but more times than not, it’s a lack of inspiration. You’re at your desk, in front of a blank screen, with nothing holding you back, but you don’t ‘feel’ it. You can’t find that spark or enthusiasm to spread the words onto the page.
Writing a feature-length screenplay can be an incredibly demanding and exhausting experience. Why would you want to put time and effort into writing a script treatment? A good treatment is essential if you have a stellar idea to turn into a feature film or a completed script you’d like to get made.
